Winter Storm Warning!
Looks like we are forecasted for some more snow this weekend. Another 4 to 10 inches of snow depending on which weather site one looks at. March has been great for the area’s snowpack and has really got us all excited for what looks like is shaping up for a great summer streamflow wise!!! Despite all the snow lately, spring is also in the air, and I am a really getting gunned up for spring fishing. Rumors are swirling everywhere about the invasion of Skwala’s, Baetis, Midges, March Browns and other assorted spring hatches. Things are about to bust loose everywhere and the rivers are calling my name. The other signs of spring are lighting up the airwaves as the Sandhill Cranes, Red Wing Blackbirds, Robins and Mountain Bluebirds have returned to Montana. I love the return of our avian friends, it is always a sure sign of spring. There is also a few bears in the Park that have emerged from their dens requiring a bike ride into the park to be accompanied by bearspray.
