We are thrilled to have Matt join us this year! New to Firehole Ranch for the 2014 fishing season, Matt Breuer is finding some solace in the prospect of a few consecutive months on US soil. In the 15 or so years since college, Matt has guided anglers through the globe’s most storied fisheries; from Alaska’s Bristol Bay region to the tailwaters of the Southeast US, from Argentina’s Rio Grande to Russia’s Ponoi River, Matt has been fortunate to make a life in fishing. Most recently, he’s been involved in spearheading a grassroots project in Guyana, South America. This project aims to assist an Amerindian community in establishing a sustainable, destination fishery for Arapaima, the world’s largest scaled freshwater fish. Despite the remarkable opportunities that Matt has had to fish and work throughout the world, he is most at home on the oars, working the seams of a Western trout stream. He looks forward to joining the community at Firehole Ranch, and sharing his wit and humor with a host of new friends and anglers.
